I have the pair of Knipex forged wire cutters. Best things I've ever used. For cutting bolts I've never had one come up with a thread that I could not easily thread by my fingers. And as far as cutting wires stripping wires like butter..

My van is super old school. Nothing but Klein and DeWalt. 26 years as an industrial electrician. Knipex and Wiha are sprinkled in there too.

Made in the USA. Probably machined and assembled but I highly doubt the forgings are USA. Milwaukee is the king of high priced Chinese products now. Anyone have solid info on who provides the forgings?

If it's got a boat cutter it's gotta have a fish tape puller.

That’s the wrong type of crimp tool for insulated connectors, right?

Got ‘em. Love em. But the cutters aren’t that sharp. Idk how they could mess that up. Maybe it’s just from an early model.

i will never understand a crimper on a tool that doesn't strip. and its just one size of crimp? they could have gotten by without that

Rather made in Japan or Germany. Made in USA is a gimmick.
