I think those lawyers got off really easily. They had no idea what their primary ethical obligation to only give true information to the court means. They really should have been suspended from practice to give them time to learn that an attorney ( a sworn officer of the court) should not fabricate case law and tell the court it's the truth.

do lawyers allow the client to double check their work before they submit it to the court? i wouldn't want my lawyers do mistakes that cost me big, could of been prevented had i doubled checked my own lawyers.
i guess maybe some do, and some don't.
