Actually you should dock the brush. Basically what you're doing at first , but instead of wiping off the brush on one side , you push the top of the brush up against the can and it pushes it deeper and doesn't drip nor dry out when you're cutting in. Most don't know how to cut and roll correctly. There's a pro way , a contractor way , a diyer way, a homeowner way and then a beginner way. I've painted with some of the best painters in the Midwest and none knew how to dock the brush. It's really easy to do and it makes life so much easier.

My pro tip !! For cutting !! First, buy a $20.00 dollar Purdy 4in brush trust me it's money well spent!! I see that is what you are using!! Use the smaller plastic containers that I've seen you use in your other videos!! Then dip brush as shown but instead of wiping excess paint off,,, double tap the brush on the side of the container. This takes off excess paint but it is more uniform on both sides of the brush. Then proceeded as shown!! This was shown to me years ago by a union painters on a huge remodel!! All you could hear was ten guys double tapping their brushes. They would get around 18in per dip!!
