True story: I was the project manager for a contractor building a jet engine factory. The small jet engines had fan blades milled from titanium. I had to install a conveyor belt collection system to collect all the titanium shavings that were then sent to a centrifuge to spin off the cutting oil. Then the shavings went to a compactor to make titanium pucks for recycling. Factory's design, not mine. Of course, the first time they use it, it catches fire! They hadn't programmed the centrifuge to ring enough oil out of the shavings so the compactor caused heat, which lit the whole mess on fire. So burning titanium is actually in my nightmares.

I remember my first machining teacher telling me about how his good friend and skilled machinist with 30 years experience somehow left his Chuck key in one time. Went through his skull and killed him instantly. Please don’t do that.
