Back in the 90s, I had a Howa 1500. Great rifle, very consistant. Since the Vanguard is still made by Howa, I would expect the same.

I own a 7 mill Weatherby mag mark 5 Deluxe. I wish I could say good comment like everybody else did on this mine was actually the worst shooter I've ever had in my entire collection that I've had over the years. I don't look at whether be as a very good rifle.Had too many bad experience I would put.
My Carl Gustav Crown grade 9000 got 6 at them in different caliber, and they would go against any weather be any day. Way better quality better craftsmanship.The Swede been building guns lot longer than Weatherby.They've never failed me Like the weather

My dad had a

HE DECLINED THE POSITION he said he had enough 25 years.helped set up defense in Germany. Before and after the Korean war.

I like those weatherby vanguards. I own 6 of them in different calibers. Just can't beat the price, accuracy, reliability, fit and finish. Everything about them is the best as far as an economical rifle is concerned
