So they waited until he died. We won't recognize him while he is alive! Good way to educate people on how positive a black person could be in his time and even to this day!!!!

Does America have a different sauce that’s also called Worcestershire Sauce? I ask because you say he invented it, but Worcestershire sauce was invented by John Wheeley Lea and William Perrins in the 1800s in Worcestershire, England. They effectively stole it from India, having something like it and then trying replicate it back in England. In 1876 Lea & Perrins were told in the High Court in England that the name Worcestershire Sauce could not be trademarked as it was basically a generic term for that type of sauce, using similar ingredients. Carver was honoured by a University in England in the 1920s, so I’m wondering if he created an American version after having it here, which does kind of fit with my own experience having it in the US, as I could never find any WS that tasted the same. Not that I’m a massive fan of it, but sometimes it just has the right flavour, just to give something a kick. We used to be able to buy Worcester Sauce flavoured crisps (chips) here which were great, but I haven’t seen them in years. They were immense. Anyway, if anyone knows, I’d be interested to find out.

His peanut butter recipe was stolen by Jiffy. They took a peek at the recipe and stold it.
