Its not necessarily that they have a problem with a woman staying home and living off them...the problem is, they want you to do it on whatever budget they set 😂. If their budget is only $50k, then you're supposed to be excited about 2 people living on the bare minimum. You're supposed to be fine with not getting your hair/nails done biweekly; or getting new clothes/shoes when you feel you need them; or eat out when you want; or order new furniture to update the house before it falls apart; or take a vacation more than once every 3-5 years...etc (if you're into doing any of those things). Add kids to that equation, and that already stretched dollar is going to have to go even further. They feel that they're supposed to be able to set the tone for how high you're expectations should be. Because if they're not that high, then they don't have to produce as much. So you're choices are make due with whatever amount of money I feel like giving you access too; or you'll have to continue to work to afford more...but it'll have to be 50/50, even though I'm not really going to share 50% of all the responsibilities. 🤡

Call me what you want, but I decided that if I DO have kids, it would only be under certain conditions.
The biggest is that my man needs to fully take on the responsibility as my provider, in a MARRIAGE, before I even consider him having access to my womb. Sorry, I got second hand ptsd from being raised by a black single mother. I told myself that will never be me. My husband started providing for me literally immediately. Proposed four months after I dumped my ex fiance who thought he couldn't be replaced 💅
