As much as I like BFN's upgrades, I can definitely say this is true.
Another example is Tennis Skills for All-Star, the ability to move quickly and jump while shooting is just too good to ignore.

Yeah I agree I love playing foot soldier but he sucks when you don’t have rapid fire, sadly he still kinda sucks compared to the other zombies you can play, like All star, TV head, 80 action hero and (super brainz 9001 perk) it sucks that BFN is so unbalanced, they should of added the variants back into the game form PvZG2 and keep the perks. Also on a side note, can we all agree EA needs to nerf super brainz 9001 perk, it’s so op it can 1/2 shot almost every plant. Also nerf tv head imp.

Soldier without rapid fire is a good generalist, which means you need to stick close to mid range fights where you have teammates. Rapid fire makes him a 1v1 beast

Every game has its flaws, the variants of GW2 are also super unbalanced with some being pretty useless and others overpowered, even some entire character classes are overpowered like Pea shooters.
Thats why I love both games, BfN is different from GW2 but not really worse or better, just very different while still feeling like GW2 atleast once you played it a lot.
