Isn’t it called the “Korn” trick?

Easier to run this on an aux send, then automate the send depending on whether the guitar actually needs that kind of low end in that particular part of the song

Grindcore bands with the guitar, drums, and vocals lineup and no bassists have been doing this for decades. That’s why Pig Destroyers Terrifyer sounds so heavy.

I recommend you look into an instrument called "bass guitar." They've been around for a long time and they're specifically built for the thing you're trying to accomplish.

Something I've done the last few months is double the guitar tracks maybe triple each one and eq them all differently for each section of the song. It's different than just boosting those parts on one track. You can process differently and get a chuggy track, a good sustain track and a good tone track.

I’ve been wondering about giving this a shot especially since I seem to feel like my recordings are missing a lot of low end somewhere (I’m not using synths which could definitely be part of it)
