Only honoring select cards from a massive processor sounds like a major headache for consumers tbh. It’s one thing if one or two processors aren’t accepted but imagine a whole list of which specific banks and card types they will accept to pay everywhere you go

My great great grandfather was part of the initial legal team that started this trial. Son, I hope this law suit ends with your generation. It must.

There’s no way they give anything on the honor all cards rule that’ll break the entire business model immediately

Ngl the honor all cards rule seems like a huge positive for customers. Imagine pulling out your card and the store says um sorry we don't accept that one, do you have another? Like how many cards I gotta carry, 5? The moment that happens people are switching to Apple Pay and what not

Morning Brew news skits might just be the best things to happen to YouTube shorts.

Keep the labels over their heads longer. I got confused.

The honor all cards rule being removed would hurt way more. If I have to pick and choose which cards to use at a place I’m no longer going. Ahead annoyed when I have to choose a different card cause they don’t take a network but specific cards, hell no.

Which one is more consumer friendly? Do you know how AWFUL it would be to try to figure out which Visa card you can use if business only accepted SOME visa’s? Each business has their own list of accepted cards that aren’t even differentiated by brand? No thanks

1. Accept all cards. 2. Fees to businesses 3. Fees to consumers. You can't realistically control one without addressing the other two.

Regulate the swipe fee standardise it so all are the same. Job done, businesses and consumers win.

The better solution to me appears to be regularion that allows businesses to forward processing fees. You want to collect your bonus miles? Sure, but you're not getting other customers to subsidise it.

Why are lawsuits allowed to go on for 19 years? There should totally be a limit to prevent massive corporations from pulling stunts like this and to free up the court system.

I remember businesses complaining a decade years ago to this day, can't believe it's actually been 19 years.

Vendors should not foot the bill for customers decisions. If a customer wants to use a credit card, they should pay the fee. Why am I as a customer who is responsible and never uses credit being punished for other peoples bad choices.
