If you got a paint job for Maaco, you better be ready to repaint it in three years

I'm sceptical about proper rust repair for only $3500. That should be much more considering rust cut out and metal fabrication, welding, ect. That kind of work takes time and real skill and not just Bondo and a glass job.

Best paint job ive seen from Maaco ever. Lets see how it holds up. Hopefully for a while. I worked at a body shop that had to fix a lot of Maaco jobs.

I let Maaco paint my 98 Dakota Sport Club Cab in 2007. Southside Jax FL Maaco. It sat outside the Shop for a week before they even started working on it. I kept coming around to check on it & make sure it was getting done. They only spent 3 days workingš on it as it only had a few small dents but the original paint on the roof & hood had clearcoat peeling so it had to be feathered out. They said it had to be stripped but evidently that's not what they did. When I came to pick it up The paint was barely dry & not the Color that I'd chosen. It was supposed to be an early 2000s GM light metallic blue with extra clearcoat for durability. It looked almost Teal depending on the lighting. It had some runs on rocker panels but my biggest complaint was the colorš¬Rather than trusting them bozos to work on my Dakota again I paid them the $750 as quoted. I paid for Premium paint but minimal Prep so there was some overspray in spots. The paint did hold up Pretty well. It's not Garage kept & has been a favorite roof for Neighborhood Kats to rest on. The sides are still holding up Very well but the roof & hood look like a satin wrap with some rust around the outer roof panel in 2024. The top areas held up to the elements Pretty well till around 2016 so about 9 years of decent shine out of the Maaco Premium paintāš¼

I had two cars painted in the last two years by a guy who does very high quality work. Just the paint and primers (no labor) cost over $3,000 for each car. The total cost per car was nine times what MAACO charged for this car.

$3600 is an amazing price for rust repair and a paint job. My insurance paid $11000 for two door, and both bumpers being replaced and painted after an accident lmfao

MAACO paint job.....now thats something i haven't heard of in a long time. Looks nice from the camera, would love to see their work up close. Ive heard stories of them doing actual great work on the "higher priced" paint jobs they offer, guess it ultimately depends on the painter working there. Looks and sounds good enough for me buddy. People act like if Jesse James and Richard Rawlings didnt put it through their shop, it just aint good enough. If you're happy, im happy.

Maaco painted my 73 Mr. Norms challenger back in '90 for $1200! Beautiful job.

Have used Maaco on 3 of my rides, half the price and just as good . I use a black owned shop, no offense given but brothas love making a clean ride.
