I did this for the Last 9-5 I had and when I quit I gave the company a three month notice, they fired me 8days before my last day so they can keep my Christmas bonus 😂 lesson learned. Don’t let anyone take advantage of your hard work it’s rarely appreciated.

This worked when I was growing up, 50 years ago. It does not work now. I watched it change as I got older. I have seen so much change in society and so much of it for the worse. There used to be stories of someone starting at a company as a janitor, working their way over the years into senior management, and retiring after 50 years with a good pension and a gold watch. Now, you're lucky if you do not get fired in an instant to help your manager get their yearly bonus for cutting costs in the budget.
