I am so pleased with my DSL20, especially for the price. Its my first tube amp. I never imagined that tubes would sound sooooo much better than solid state. To all the tube snobs out there, I get it.....

Marshall is missing big on withholding the release of the head version of the DSL40.
I'm really considering going through the craziness of converting a DSL40CR into a head + separate 1x12 cab...

I have the DSL 100 HR its bigger sister. For such and affordable amp. I use a 2x12 Marshall cab with a V30 and Creamback H. I love it!

Lots of good music here. Zebra is our best band imho..They're hard driven 80's rock and roll. MTV showed their music videos in the 80's when they were a nationally signed band with Atlantic Records back in the day. They're lead singer and guitarist, Randy Jackson, is a true axe slinging badass. He had an amazing falsetto voice, and he and the other 2 band members are super talented. They started as a Led Zeppelin Cover Band in the 70's that played Catholic Grammar School Christian Youth Organization Dances. They have a huge following in Louisiana, and in Long Island, New York, where they live, for part of the year. If you aren't already familiar with Zebra, I hope you give them a listen bro. Randy Jackson can sound Exactly like Robert Plant, and I do mean Exactly Like. Take Care Bro and Be Safe.

It doesnโt sound like we are actually getting the audio from the mic set up on the cab. It sounds like we are just getting the camera mic. Not a lot of clarity in this tone

Yeeears ago when I narrowed the sound I wanted I simply could not find a power amp on its own, without a pre amp, which is how I ended up generating my sound at the preamp stage with AMT Bricks. Is that still the case? Mind you, I'm not complaining. No big gear to lug around. I remember asking, "surely there has to be something without a preamp".

DSL40's have all of the bite of a marshall, but none of the body. The clean and crunch tones are farty, and the overdrive doesn't feel like it's authentic. I swapped my DSL40c for an Origin 20 half stack. Never looking back.

Iโm a crazy bastard that owns a DSL 100 with a 4x12 underneath as my one main amp. Bought it when I was 16 after saving all the summer cash. 4 guitars, 6 pedals and 8 years later and I just canโt seem to replace it, just keeps on rocking man. I just attenuate for days ๐
