My mind has been running wild since this ad came out. When I was pregnant with my oldest, my water broke at 15 weeks. We were told to have an abortion. We said no. Despite having little to no amniotic fluid, she was born healthy, albeit preemie, at 28 weeks. Sheâs 8 now and has no lasting issues. According to a 2022 study, if a baby survives 1 week post preterm-previable rupture of membranes, they have a nearly 80% of survival. And 1/3 of those babies live a completely medically typical life. But even if my baby died, she would have died in my loving arms or womb, not at the tools of the abortionist. Also, this shows that medical professionals need more ethics training! This woman was eligible for ethical treatment of preterm delivery or miscarriage care.

I'm a midwife and this is so misleading. If waters break at 19 weeks gestational age, you DO NOT PERFORM AN ABORTION. If you cant save the baby, it will be born as a still birth. A baby this size has to be born vaginally or via cesarean. But preferably vaginally, so that the mother can go through this process of birthing and grieving more organically than just ripping this baby out. If there are no contractions, you would start an induction. Also these women are monitored closely to prevent an infection etc. This is just plain white lying.

Doctors shouldnât be sharing the truth like this ⌠they should be SCREAMING it! My water was leaking at 6 weeks with my daughter and broke at 23 weeks with my first son. Both went full term without complications. My heart breaks for this mama. Not only did she lose her baby but people are using her grief to lie for votes.
