What i do is this. I try make eveeything sound "cool" and interseting in my draft stage so alot might be going on then i slolwy remove elements to get it neat but keep the sounds that absolutely fit

I always try to make certain elements stand out a lot with volume and my fellow producers and band mates don’t understand what I’m doing. I actually don’t like “balanced” mixes. I want DRAMA!

Yeah! That's why i like my kick to sound like a snare and the snare like a splash.......the bottom thump on my mixed only consists of sub harmonized piccolo snare......quite like the purple cow 🤓

What even? I mean theres some rules sometimes, it all depends what you feel the song should sound, the voices in the background or in the front? What frecuencies the kick have? How much volumen the kick will have? Etc etc

Thats why I make my mixes sound like shit. Gotta be different. Kanye hired me when I took his tracks and panned them all hard left except for the bass. The only things panned far right were the bass and a clip I recorded of my wife yelling at me. Got hired on the spot!
