That's insane! I have known this for a long time but what baffles me is after having discovered this I realized how fragile this bird I and I now feel so sorry for it. It's a direct access to the inside of his skull accessing his most critical tool his eyes, brain, and whatever else is going on in there. Mites, fleas, ticks, fprget the fights and a talon accidently gets in, just such a terribly fragile bird
