There's nothing worse than sexual fan service of young minors, and if it's sneaking into an anime that's not even in the ecchi genre. Get this crap out of there. I want to watch plot, story and character growth, not 100 different ways how the camera is filming panties, boobs and supposedĀ "funny" sexual harassment.

Itās messed up that patriarchy warps our sensibilities so much that a girl in a fan service situation is sexualized but a boy in the exact same situation is not. You can see a girl in clothing and not sexualize them, weāre just trained to see them that way.

Hey just wanted to make a criticism, am not a hater in fact I think in most of the content Iāve seen from you Iāve agreed or had a similar take and generally the same is true for this. I think what annoys me is that if you are an anime fan whoās watched a lot of series and dipped into different genres this is obvious. Iāve actually had these same conversations with friends a lot. I understand that there is a group of ppl who disagree because they only really watch shonen or the more popular male targeted shows but I just think of them as a different kind of anime fan. The way you have phrased this in the past makes me think you think itās a controversial view but I feel like with all of the more deep anime fans Iāve talked to who still touch grass itās obvious. Also just to be clear there is female targeted fan service and itās also very annoying but you find it in shojo where it takes on a different flavor. Thereās an entire female otaku counterpart fujoshis for a reason.
Sry if that sounded harsh am overall a fan of your content. Tbh I think the problem is I feel like you spread much needed common sense takes but personally I would like to see different content. Ultimately just one viewer though.

You would be surprised women just like men have their own desires of liking guys there's a reason why wemen always get googly eyed over their favorite actor. It works both ways. Maybe guys are more noticeable when they do that but it goes both ways.

A show immediately gets points deduced if it contains blatant fan service. It gives me the impression that the animators think I'm cheap and that they can win me over with something as primitive as that.
I disagree though that shirtless male characters aren't fan service for the female audience. For the male audience: the sexualization of female character = fan service
the sexualization of male characters = power fantasy or more accurately, an image they aspire to be like
For the female audience, it would be the same just switched.
