Doc...can you do a video on the flesh-eating bacteria in Japan right now? I don't live there but what if people travel and get it? How bad is it and should we be worried? I read that someone died of it within 48 hours. I'm in South Africa, we've already have 13 cases of mpox, we can't also be fending off flesh-eating bacteria, too😭

There's also another condition that looks similar in folks without melanin called vitiligo. For people with malanin it is very noticable as the spots will look like white skin, but for folks without it, it can look very similar to this and it's a serious condition. I have a friend with the condition who has to be extra careful in the sun otherwise his chances of cancer are like... Several times the likelihood of a person without the condition. And in his experience, it took him longer to be diagnosed with vitiligo because they actually thought this phenomenon was going on as he went to the doctor in the summer. Come winter when the spots didn't go away, they realized it was something a bit more major than natural microorganisms freaking out

Lol, I've had this a few times across my chest and back. I'm super pale (see profile pic), so mine were a bit darker and grayer than my skintone. Unfortunately, I have some mast cell issues (irt Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) and my skin reacts to a lot of shampoo, soap, cream and ointment products. That meant that I had to treat mine with an oral antifungal, which made me feel more unwell than usual, but not so much that it wasn't worthwhile.
Very interesting to learn more about it, so thanks! 😊

I love your use of 'glitching out' on the human body
