They're both great looking. It's a shame that turbos are all the rage, without the time tested reliability. Hopefully Toyota is enough to make them long term reliable.

Round any day, I found the 1990s LC on sale back in the day and I see that in the 1958 edition so I'd facelift the Morden one to the round headlights if faced with no option

Both are disappointing with 4 cylinder, Turbo and Hybrid…can they make it anymore complex with more moving parts, more extreme thermal management and increase in service components and less forgiving.

I've been torn for a long time on this, but I've decided I like the rectangular look. I just wish they would've given the LC the color changing light bar from the Tacoma/4Runner.

The rectangle headlights somehow makes it look wider which looks better in my opinion. It looks like the old school 80’s lights but smaller

The square headlights feel like an homage to the LC80s and newer generations, the round headlights feel like an homage to the LC60s and older generations. Personally I like the square headlights. Reminds me of the LC80.
