Nice little tip! Gr8 way to access something at a distance. I would be concerned that I would miss the string, BUT if I positioned it correctly on my pack and trained, I think it would come in handy as a less than lethal option. I think I would attach it to my shoulder strap in most scenarios. I am guessing you had a pow pow tucked in your chest rig as your first option. :)

Iโm sorry but I disagree on this being a good technique. I watched this several times and even you struggle to get the cord into your hand and need to look to see where it is. Just seems like to much of a risk to fail. But we are all different. ๐คท๐ผโ

I dont see this work in a hyperstress situation like an encounter with a bear. Would not count on it.
