Line distribution only feels like a âproblemâ to me when someone is consistently getting no lines, because then it feels like they donât get an equal chance to âbe in the spotlightâ. But getting less in one song isnât that bad, plus the idols themselves probably donât care since it means they can sing less and their job will be easier. Like current SKZ still have songs where someone gets less, but the members who get more or less lines are rotating so overall theyâre quite fair, if you look up SKZâs total line distribution the gap is mostly due to the old songs.

In my opinion, it doesnât matter unless an idol wants more lines. For example, Beomgyu. Heâs openly said that he does covers because thatâs the only way fans can hear his voice clearly since he barely gets lines in txtâs songs. Unless an idol is actually upset about not getting lines, it doesnât really matter to me

Iâve said something similar with stray kids. It was a few months ago but I saw a video about somebody complaining about how Chan has like no lines in Top Line but the thing is, heâs one of the main writers and producers for their songs. He would have chosen to give himself that many lines

Reminds of of when people thiught Soul of P1H was being mistreated due to his few lines. The members(soul included) talked about how they're very involved in the writing and distribution of thier songs. Soul simply isn't confident and asks for less lines, he gets center of dance breaks to make up for it though

In my opinion it is important, but it also kinda depends.
Obviously if a song doesnt fit someone's voice then yes they can have less lines in that ONE song. But give them more lines in a different song that does fit their voice.
There is no reason someone should consistently be getting only 5 sec or less of lines vs a different member consistently getting 30-40 sec of lines.
And if a member does have less lines then have the member either be center or more in front when dancing so they are still at least visible during the song and are not forgotten.

I completely agree with her, yes youâre in a group however that doesnât call for equal line distribution, a lot goes into a group and it isnât only the signing aspect, theyâll have plenty of other ways to shine, a lot of the time groups pander and it shows in their songs so many kpop groups would benefit more if they stopped pandering and caring what fans think when it comes to line distribution, because honest and truthfully it can make or break songs and there have been so many songs where I can tell the company is giving a member lines to even the line distribution out but in turn takes away from the song and makes the song feel aggitating or lacklustre.

Instead of worrying about line distribution, why not just let them sing the chorus and bridge together? Like a true classic vocal group setups. That will solve lots of issues with fans and members alike.

Omg she's so real 4 that like I honestly don't think idols would normally be upset if they don't get many lines, it just makes them more stressed if they have more lines and seemes like it would give them more anxiety.
So I don't rly get why fans get so mad if an idol doesn't get many lines in a song, bc I might just be bc their voice doesn't suit that specific concept or their pitch is different than what pitch the song is or they just don't want many lines đ¤ˇââď¸

are line distributions in kpop important? i mean, it genuinly depends on the idol because if ur the ace or all rounder or that of the sort in ur group and your getting like, NO lines in ur songs, then thats a true problem. but if ur not comfortable with something about yourself (like singing, rapping, etc) or you lack in certain areas, then less lines would be good for you until you progress/improve in the area you are lacking in / get comfortable with certain aspects of ur talent :)

Important? Not at all as a fan. If some idols feel slighted, then maybe it's an issue, but Momo gets almost no lines but is heavily featured in Twice.

every single point she said, ive said many times. especially when talking about liz from ive. but nobody will care and will still talk about her being a main vocalist. just because she is vocally better, doesn't change that some tones sound better in some songs and some dont.
