ā€Diversification is a shield from ignoranceā€ Itā€™s not bad to diversify if donā€™t know what to do. But you canā€™t say youā€™re a skilled business man.

I might get some pushback for this, but I believe that pretty much everyone should just but index fund ETFs. If you think youā€™re the exception, think again. None of you in the comment section know nearly enough about corporate structure and governance, industry relationships, competition, and regulation, macroeconomic headwinds, important KPIs to look at, how to analyze financial statements like 10-Ks or 10-Qs, etc. This apples to any of the stocks you are or plan to be invested in; and all these factors can change so easily. Thereā€™s a reason why even institutional investors, with information, experience, and expertise that retail investors donā€™t have, lose money. Shit happens.

It is really a good rule to follow if you donā€™t like to think much about diversifying

He is also 100% right. 100% guys. Stop listening how to get rick from poor people. Rich people say nearly identical things.

Diversification of assets prevents some market losses, but when getting rich it takes focus (and things going your way.)

This is great advice for regular people I donā€™t see the downside unless you love risk
