Can you please do a fertilizer for dummies video? Certain plants need "X" fertilizer, while others need "Y"... I never know what is what (or how often) so I often check out. Help a girl out please!

It's my second year from seed and I dropped the ball on feeding 😢 Gonna keep practicing with seeds through the season for more experience and trial!

I just grind up seeds and use them as fertilizer. I buy cheap barley seed, soak them for a day or two to activate the proteins and enzymes, and sprout the root about 1/8 inch of root then grind them up and you have organic fertilizer.

Thankyou, thankyou, this was so helpful!!! my liquid fertiliser just says "x fertiliser per y water. apply to soil once a week in growing season". But it doesn't say how much to apply!! I guessed that it may be to just do a full watering application with the solution, but I needed the confirmation that you have given here!! Amazing, thanks again.

Thank you for the info. I've been gardening for 25 years and start most of my own seeds but didn't know that I should be fertilizing my seedings. Now I will do so.

The first leafs contain more sugar and power to make the plant grow and get the true leafs out as quick as possible. That's why they got eaten by rascals so frequently.. The best thing you can provide this is to put a white container with a net on them, but still let them grow outside when the weather is right to get some wind. Plants grow stronger with wind. When your plant is having 5 to 10 leafs its strong enough to face the world without a net... Good Luck!
