I want people to understand that by stopping mining late game, well not even really late game, the game can become boring, and its for Minecraft's sake itself.
The game will get boring without this massive part of it.
I don't think Mojang realises what ore farms do. It makes their work, that whole Caves and Cliffs update a little pointless.
People just get all of them rewards, other than fun, by doing nothing instead!
I don't mind mob farms as much as atleast you are doing something and you will still come across the main mechanic of combat constantly whilst you explore and travel in caves or at night anyway. Your not just missing out on it.
