You can pick up some bargain bulbs in the shops in January - but is it too late to plant them? I've planted my bulbs right up to the end of January - provided the ground isn't frozen or covered in snow, of course.

Love the comment that they certainly won't flower in the drawer! So practical and realistic!

Good to know. I planted mine 🌷last Sunday. I had no time to do it before because the ground was frozen. Normally the ground freezes from January to March. This time it was in December and now we had 16 C. Happy New Year 🎉

Since I’ve made the switch to planting tulips as an annual, plus, knowing they bloom beautifully if planted on the late side, I now mostly only buy them on sale. 😂

That depends where you live & want to plant your bulbs. This comments go world wide so you must state your location and what season it is where you are.

🏵I have 200 mixed daffodils and 500 mixed tulips 💐to plant here in the Pacific Northwest coast of Washington zone 9A. They're chilling right now because our weather is so wet. They will be in the ground soon and I will try to send you a picture of the glorious show. Love you channel. I always look forward to seeing what you've got growing on. Happy gardening! 👩

Crazy! I planted about 100 tulips in a raised bed in my polyyunnel in November. A few weeks later little holes appeared where I'd planted them. Yesterday I found a pile of soil behind one of the beds, with piles of tulips inside. Voles I think! I was wondering what to do with them, and then this video short popped up. Thank you so much. I'll plant them outside, all jumbled up colourwise of course but not wasted.
