Greatest experience I ever had as a drummer as like o was out of body in a flow state. My mind was so focused on what my bandmates were doing, my body was just responding, diving the groove deeper and my awareness was so far outside of myself we all moved as one amoeba together. It was incredible. Same thing with art but different when youāre just vibing alone

Great advice. I would also add that playing for myself and not for others helped me get better. Playing guitar was a personal thing for me, and if others wanted to see and hear it, then great. If not, it didn't matter.

I had a classical guitar instructor like that. I learned his way and im very thankful for it. Because classical is very strick
But when im hamming on electric with my buddies......its freak feast 5000.........meaning we jam to out hearts desire......(we dont do sex things to each other...not that kind of freak feast)
You need to know when to be strick and when to let loose......
