The problem is people lean on smoking weed as a comfort to stress for situations, to relax them. The Lord is our comforter and to put something before him is not what he wants. Sometimes we want comfort without surrender. There are great medical uses for THC that can be extracted from marijuana but I don’t smoke anymore because I don’t need to. Praise God for providing security, unexplainable peace, and the love I can’t even put in context. Peace and love be with you. These are just my thoughts

Anyone who ever smoked knows their mind is not sober when they are high. Thats why it is called getting high to elevate your mind.

I have smoked weed before in my 20s. My brother, I overindulged, and overindulgence is greed, and greed is idolatry according to the Bible.
When you get high, your mind is no longer sober, and that is why jobs where heavy things are lifted, or not, that is prohibited, and even when it comes to driving there are laws against driving while high, because of the state it puts the mind in. There are ways to test for a sober mind, physically.

Be sober minded and self-controlled so that you can pray… That verse has helped me reduce alcohol. In these times we can't afford to block ourselves from hearing the Holy Spirit when He wants to direct us.
