Sure! Here's a recipe for Indian-style chicken curry:
Ingredients:
- 500 grams boneless chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat oil or ghee in a pan or kadai over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies to the pan. Cook for a minute until fragrant.
3. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are lightly browned on all sides.
4. In a bowl, whisk together the yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Pour this mixture over the chicken in the pan and mix well.
5. Add the tomato puree to the pan and stir everything together. Cover the pan and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
6. Sprinkle garam masala over the chicken curry and give it a final stir.
7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
Enjoy your delicious Indian-style chicken curry!
