Shinjo won the all Karate championships back in the 80s and his student is Nathan Levy who's in the UFC. His a full on beast of a man. What your looking at is an old video and the Uechi-Ryu schools have done there best to keep up to date. But they will agree that they are no MMA right away and that they are not the best school for sport Karate.
