The best way to get out of a scandal like this seems to be either a) providing a strong evidence the idol is innocent OR b) if there's no strong evidence - apologetic attitude and hiatus. Alternatively c) doing nothing and waiting until everything fizzles out on its own (particularly good method for less known idols).

The whole reason why idols are called "idols" and not "celebrities" or "singers" or "performers" is because they are promoting the concept that they are people who SHOULD be looked up to. Being an idol in SoKor is all about image and the type of personality they are portraying to often young, impressionable kids.
