Grab deathrun remade from the subnautica discord server. Then turn up the creature aggression and set the water murkinessto darkest. Make the game a HELL of a lot harder and you REQUIRE lights and flares and will NOT see the reapers and other hostiles coming until almost right on top of you.

The directory should look like this: Subnautica\QMods\{Mod Name}\{Mod Name}.dll

To reiterate: this tutorial does NOT cover modding the "Legacy" branch of the games! Subnautica and Below Zero . One of the benefits of the "new" versions is that the game code for Subnautica and Below Zero are far more closely aligned than before. For this reason, the tutorial will cover the "Subnautica" game only.

Baldur's Gate 3 needs no introduction. As it was probably everyone's Game of the Year of 2023 (including ours). The game went from being the 51st-ranked game on our site while it was in early access to 9th by January 2024. The modding scene has exploded, so we thought it was about time we interviewed a BG3 mod author.

That being said, Subnautica is one of my favorite games. I wouldn't say it's horror, just thrilling at times. You can complete the entire game by never setting yourself up to be scared (even though its pretty random on first blind playthrough). Especially late game where better equipment makes encounters less scary.

Many horror games are the opposite. Another thing is that Subnautica concentrates on resource gathering and building where many horror games are concentrating on stupid jumpscares and monsters. Therefore I don't think Subnautica is a horror game, but I do agree that it is getting more frightening. Yet somehow I love it. I don't know why.

Horror game no, definitely a thriller game though. I play a lot of horror games, and it's got too many calm moments to be considered one. But then again... If you did a full blind playthrough, and didn't know where was safe, or what was, you'd probably be tense pretty much the entire time. I guess it depends on your first playthrough if you

Mod developers are currently hard at work updating mods to ensure as many as possible can be used in the latest version of Subnautica. Keep in mind this might take a while. In the meantime, you can still use mods in the previous version of the game by enabling the Legacy branch provided by UWE for the modding community.

There's a bunch of reasons why a person might not like a given game, regardless of how great it's otherwise perceived to be. Sometimes a genre just isn't for you. Subnautica is great for exploration. It has a decent story and base building elements are okay, but to me it's the exploration that sets it apart. The world is both colorful and fun
