I had a recurring nightmare as a kid where I was in the car with my parents and the road split, one lane going high around a mountain and the other lane going down into water. When I was a kid I was so obsessed with the ocean that I had an underwater themed room, read ocean books all day, and wanted to be a marine biologist. There were a couple things that probably gave me this fear- one of my earliest memories is being at the beach with a hurricane, and then it happened again when I was around 8.
