I believe this opinion is unpopular in Kpop fandoms due to the wild success of retro releases in Kpop from 2020-2024 among fans. But on the whole retro thing, I'm just tired of the concept as a whole. Nostalgia baiting exhausts me, reboot culture exhausts me, I just want music and art to take creative risks.

EXTREMELY Unpopular Opinions. You don't need to be talented to be a kpop idol. You need a pretty face, a likeable personality and hard work. YES their are talented idols but half of them were just pretty faces who worked hard. Stop speculating whether an idol is naturally skinny or not. Unless they say their on a diet you will never freaking

During a Twitter Spaces chat room, things got spicy as K-Pop stans began to voice their unpopular opinions. It began a trend of sharing #KpopUnpopularOpinions online. Many users actually had a point so here are 13 you may or may not agree with. 1. Solo stans are the worst. Lowkey popular unpopular opinion.

I don't mind when someone says they don't like an idol or a group, i actually prefer if they say they don't like straight up than make hundreds of arguments (and sometimes lies) about an idol to justify why they don't like them, honestly i think that's the reason why i get pissed off whit this people , like make an 1000 post to just tell that you don't like someone is borderline psycho for me .

12. every kpop idol has probably done work, denying it wont work. 13. debuting minors is not okay. 14. lesserafim has been falling cause smart and easy sounds like generic songs, but their worst was eve, psyche and the bluebirds wife and unforgiven.

Male "idol dancers" exist. They are often trained to always move full out, and are often much more tense than your average open style dancer, and have unhealthy alignment. People often mistake their idol training as strong dance foundations. Iz*one stans often mistake synchronization as good dancing, and vocals that fit their songs as good vocals.

1. I've read somewhere that the original meaning of 'stan' in K-Pop is 'sasaeng', an obsessive love for specific idols/groups. So it's more like stalking a group or idol (in real life or virtually) than just being a normal fan. I try to avoid the word 'stan' too since I read that. I like a K-Pop group or specific idols.

Some of the worst criticism bordering on hate is directed towards SM idols. I would say Reddit has more Hybe stans. Since the company popularized kpop in Western countries so many new fans are pro hybe. Some SM posts like vocalists do get support here but simultaneously there are many posts discrediting the artists and the company as a whole.

The shit post opinions make this sub the most interesting it has been a good while, and I've rather have that over the same regurgitated "unpopular" opinions 17 times in a row. While insane, they're quite amusing to read and much superior to the recycled popular opinions that come back every so often. DorseyZep44.

Groups/idols that can't perform and sing live shouldn't even have debuted. Singing. Okay, the context of this is that whenever I see a live vocal performance of this certain mega-popular group, their fans seem to always defend their often lackluster vocals with "their choreography was tiring", "this is their third performance this week", etc.

I think this is unpopular because there are only a hand full of really popular full-time soloists in k-pop (IU, Boa, Hong Jin Young, Chungha, Bol4, Somi, K.Will, etc.) and especially international fans (i.e reddit) mostly love groups above all.

However, if you showed these kpop idols or actresses to people who are not necessarily following kpop then a majority of them will think they are not good looking. Case in point, I showed some famous idols, actors, and actresses to my parents who do not follow kpop and they both said that youth and makeup really helped them look decent.

We all have our opinions and we are allowed to share them. But I feel like with the trend of doing unpopular opinion posts or videos some ppl just use this as a way to gossip and hate on an idol or group with the excuse of saying "well I said it's a unpopular opinion". Saying someone is a talentless hag is not an opinion. It's hate.

Why do some Idols not singing their own chorus when it's repetitive? ... No hate to IVE at all, I like the song, but I haven't heard of it being like this. Cause Gee comes to mind, but SNSD sings 'Gee gee gee gee'. I mean, I get it, they're 2nd Gen but, I just haven't heard of that kind of reasoning before. ... opinion, and thoughts

The mv was really pretty, but the song feels a bit unfinished. They should have taken a bit more time in production. But the vocals and presence of the girls are amazing, like always. Ps: I do like experimental sounds. However, it's just feels all over the place, like O.O, instead of good transitions like dash, armaggedon, IGOT A BOY, etc.
