Doing too much? I wish I could train in a single school or form more and do multiple times in a week but there aren't any schools in my area that offer more than once a week. I thus do multiple types of martial arts in a week. Goju Ryu one day, Shorin-Ryu on another, Kenpo on another and JJJ on one more day.

I'm getting into shape slowly but surely as I too am overweight. I love karate. I practice often. That is also what you have to do. Not just do it in class, but at home too. Half an hour on off days. Practice those skills you struggle with. Do endless repetitions, until you wanna puke because you are so damn bored. You will see progress.
