In logic right click the drummer track, go to transform > convert to midi. Then you can fine tune the fills and beat to match your song. Logic drummers can also play on other kits if you buy VST drums.

I use metronome beats for android. Its free and damn useful. Now here is what to do: Step 1: Learn the concept. Set aside some time each night to do one page of stick control rudiments. Set your metronome to a pretty low bpm (I use 155) and set the speed trainer to increase it every 4 - 8 bars to a 5 bpm increase.

It's easier to see improvement spelled out for you when you don't 'feel' like you're getting better. Put together a calendar, keep it beside your drums, and give yourself weekly or daily goals. Compare your old material: You can also combat a general "I suck" feeling by looking back on old recordings or videos.

Keep the hats subtle and spicy. A few rolls here and there, not too much is good spice. Try to keep the snare punchy and supportive to the melody. Try to make the kick punch through the 808s, creating a punchy warmth, depending upon the type of music you're making. Keep the basics simple and play around it.

If you're telling yourself that you suck at drums or you're a looser or a failure or you're not good enough for someone, your brain is going to start to default to thinking that way. I really suggest bringing this thought process into the foreground of your every day life. I did this for years when it came to body image and it's taking me a lot

1) pre-jam stretches. I stretch my back, my hammies, my calves, arms and shoulders, massage my fingers, etc. to help get loose. Then you can get back to heavier sticks if you want. 2) stick choice. Make sure your sticks are right for your hands and don't be afraid to play with light sticks.

Take out some time when you dont make entire beats or songs, but take 4 bar loops and add drums to them, your goal should be to make the entire loop sound good with the drums, slowly but surely, you willr eavh a stage where your drums will be good enough to make you like melodies that you didn't originally like.

Let me explain: Tuning below Drop D: This is probably the number one poser thing you can do. Tuning to Drop D means your band is lazy. Tuning to Eb means your band is annoying.
