CHANNEL UPDATE

Hey guys, I know I haven’t really been active with the mashups/remixes these past months. I’ve been thinking about it.

Back in early 2021 I started dropping mashups on Tiktok for fun and then eventually posting new mashups on my main YouTube account back in September 2021, also for fun. Three videos blew up and I’ve never had that happen to me before so I just kept going with no plan in mind.

I still have some mashups left to drop but I realized I don’t really want to be known as the guy who made mashups. There’s only so much you could do with mashups. I also have that re-occurring thought of, “Do people really fuck with my shit, or just the artist I’m remixing?”

I appreciate every 7,700+ people who subscribed and tuned in to my uploads. But really, I want to be known more for my original music. That was my real intention into making this YouTube channel in the first place. Making the mashups and then editing the video wasn’t fun anymore and there wasn’t much creativity happening for me personally.

A lot of pages on Tiktok or Instagram would also take my ideas or rip off the mashups I did and discredit me. It’s tiring too, and it felt weird claiming a remix to be my own original stuff. YouTube also wouldn’t let me monetize the mashups for obvious copyright issues.

So what’s the point?

Moving forward I want to go back to dropping beat videos and maybe even drop new original music I’ve been working on. I’ll still keep up the mashup videos I already dropped. I don’t really mind losing a couple subscribers since I was already happy with the 300 subscribers I started with.

Thank you guys for the support and a huge thank you for the people who will stick around!

Does anyone know if the songs that "dropped" are final ? I wanna remix with Pablo vocals so bad but they don't sound finished 😭
