The socks I wear are the midweight mini-crew in winter and the run lightweight and original weight in the summer. I do the mini-crew instead of the no-show because I tend to get dirt and leaves inside my foot with the no-shows. I like a thinner sock - but they have thicker socks too if that's your preference. They have new wool socks (I have not tried yet) and some of their socks have CoolMax which basically helps keep your feet cool.

So sorry I have not posted a video in a long time. With my aunt Andrea battling a very devastating cancer, I haven't felt very creative or inspired to post. I'm hoping I can get a video up before too long.

๐ I woke up before dawn to a bright light shining through the window.
The second I realized it was the (Super Blue) Moon, my feet hit the floor and I found myself outside - barefoot, running down the street until my view was unencumbered by the trees. Stood in awe at the bright white light in front of me. Breathed in gratitude as I pulled on my fleece- a chill in the air. Finally.
Once-in-a-blue moon. I figured it was as good of time as any to do the thing Iโm terrified of- put myself as the subject of a photo. I take selfies but Iโm terrified of real photos- Iโm awkward. Uncomfortable. Not photogenic.
A tripod, self timer and a few blurry photos later, to my surprise, I didnโt look *quite as scary* as I expected, so I guess Iโll take a leap and post (might delete later).
The last day of August is like breathing out a sign of relief. To be honest, Iโve hated looking in the mirror lately. Iโve been riddled with anxiety and uncertainty. Iโve woken up three times at 3am with a racing heart to find rejection letter emails from what would have been dream jobs.
But praying for the wrong doors to close and right doors to open also means stepping through the already open door. And success with that open door means not being so afraid. So here I am. Hope you are also finding your โOnce-in-a-blue-moonโ moment today. ๐

I wanted to update you on the missing hiker in Vermont, Robert Kerker. Unfortunately, they bound his body yesterday. He was located a mile and a half downstream from where the trail crosses a creek (Stony Brook) and officials believe his death was related to the floods. Rest in Peace, "Steady Eddie."
Also, we will be having a premiere at 2pm TODAY for my latest video, "Creature," so I hope to see you there!

Hey friends! I can't thank you enough for the kind words and comments on my recent video. I've gotten a bit behind, but I'm working on responding to each and every one of them! ๐
If you are seeing this right now, could you please say a prayer and/or send some positive, healing thoughts towards my aunt, Andrea? She is one of my favorite people in the world (she's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside) and recently was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive and malignant brain tumor. It's affected her vision significantly and last week she had brain surgery. She is so incredibly kind, considerate, and thoughtful and I want so badly for her to be healed and to feel better.

Iโve been up and down the trail in Georgia the past few weeks and itโs been SO FUN to stretch my legs and meet the Class of 2023! Plus I hiked 21 miles in 26 hours over the past few days so I think the fitness challenge is paying off! Miss you guys and hope to have a video up soon.
