Daniel Young is the food critic behind youngandfoodish.com. His selective pursuit of pizza, fish & chips, pastrami and other comfort food classics inspire everything Young & Foodish. His discoveries have formed the basis of 5 cookbooks, including The Paris Cafe Cookbook and Made in Marseille; 4 restaurant guides, including Where To Eat Pizza; dozens of magazine articles; and 100s of newspaper restaurant reviews.
From 1996-2000 he was restaurant critic of the New York Daily News. He has written about food for The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Times of London, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, Conde Nast Traveler, Food & Wine and Bon Appetit. He was named Online Writer of the Year at the 2013 Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards.
