I enjoy trekking in far off countries and make trekking documentaries.
I work for Halton Borough Council where I manage a number of business projects that offer work opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
I also teach IT and Media to adults with disabilities.
What inspires me to ascend Mountains?
You find deep peacefulness when spending time on a mountain. It is a unique feeling of calm and tranquillity. It is great exercise too- the variety of terrain and the climbing angles canโt be replicated anywhere else. And you can make it as challenging as you want it to be. On reaching summits gives a sense of achievement no other sport gives. Mountains provide breath-taking scenery in any season and you appreciate the smallest flower, cascading waterfalls, dramatic rock faces to snowy peaks โ Appreciating nature at its best. Always something new to explore on a mountain, a new path to travel, a different challenging scramble โ all this satisfies primal urges for exploration.
