What is your favorite math equation???
There are so many beautiful equations in math, but I'm curious what you think the most beautiful ones are? Euler's formula is often cited, combining 5 special numbers e, pi, i, 1, 0, but my next video is about another equation due to Euler that I think I like even more (channel members can watch now!).

Hey all, update that the company I've been working with on merch is closing down. I started working with Beautiful Equations a couple years ago, and while there are lots of merch companies out there I liked that this one was trying to really focus on promoting mathematics and so I was happy to partner with them. Anyone who ordered merch is getting/already gotten their merch, but there isn't new sales and there will be some dead links in my video description or a while until I get them all removed - thanks for your understanding:)

You are amazing:) It was never a significant amount of money (and honestly I did a bad job promoting it, I almost never actually mentioned it in a video) so I'm not in any particular rush to do it again with a new company, but who knows, there might be new math merch in the future:D

Happy Pi day everyone!!! Or, uh, happy half Tau day, if you prefer:D To mark the occasion I'm sharing one of the coolest facts about pi that you can experimentally estimate P simply by dropping a bunch of needles and counting their intersections with regularly spaced lines - cool!

My first LaTeX video was actually not sponsored via Overleaf but I happened to use Overleaf in the video because I think it's a great product I've always recommended to my actual students for getting started with LaTeX and imo the free tier has all the basics needed. I am an Assistant Teaching Professor teaching mathematics at the University of Victoria, in Canada. I completed my PhD in a fun branch of math called Algebraic Topology at the University of Toronto. Many of the videos on this channel were filmed during my time as an Assistant Professor, Educator at the University of Cincinnati.
Mathematics is a journey we can all participate in. My videos can help support you, give you tools, and show you some of beauty and power of mathematics. But ultimately it is a journey we must travel together, so make sure you don't JUST watch my videos. Ask questions, try problems, and do as much math as you can on your own too!
