Intuitive Machines (whicu landed the IM-1 mission on the Moon a few months ago) Has told NASA what they want to do with the VIPER rover if they get it
If Intuitive Machines gets the VIPER rover, they want to launch it to the Moon as part of a !new mission called VALOR. (VIPER-Augmented Lunar Operations and Reconnaissance)
It is not confirmed that Intuitive Machines will get VIPER, but they have a high chance
VIPER has a high chance of actually getting to the moon even though nasa cancelled it

Today I learned that during Apollo 12 (the second moon landing) They brought with them the first color TV camera to the Moon, but we only got like 15 minutes of video because the crew accidentally pointed it directly at the sun and melted it and they had to shut off the visual broadcast
Apollo 11 had a terrible camera but oh well, it was the first time
Apollo 14, 15, 16, and 17 all had decently high quality footage
and Apollo 12 had nothing because the camera melted
(Should clarify this was only the TV camera, the cameras that took pictures were fine. This one was for broadcasting)

my official prediction on whatās going to happen with VIPER
(NOT NEWS, this is just my guess on what will happen based on all the information we have)
Itās definitely going to get bought by somebody before disassembly, it will be rebranded as a new mission and get to the moon a few years behind schedule
I think there are 3 options for who buys it (keep in mind we donāt actually know who is currently trying to buy it, thereās no customer list or anything, but if I HAD to guess itāll go to one of these 3. Unless it turns out none of them are trying to get it)
