Many times we look at what God can GIVE US! Many times our prayers are even self focused or results focused on what God can give or do for us! But Christians should look for what God can give them but rather what THEY CAN GIVE TO GOD! GIVE HIM your Praise! GIVE HIM your Tithe AND Offering! GIVE HIM your Time! When you go to God looking for what YOU CAN give BECAUSE of What HE ALREADY GAVE YOU (Salvation from eternal condemnation through the gift of His son, Jesus), then you will be less focused on the things you don’t really need but thought you needed! This weekend I invite you to ask God what YOU CAN GIVE instead of asking for what you want him to give!

The reason the Bible says we can ask for anything and be given it is because when we align our hearts to God’s, we will as for what matters to God. More souls, not more money more wisdom to steward well what we already have not more resources, kindness and humility not fame and promotion.

Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Matthew 6:25-34 (NIV)
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)
14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

If you need confidence today that the Lord is going to save you and that the Lord has heard you. If you are wondering if God's going to come through for you today, meditate on this word!

Isaiah 41:13 (NIV):
For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Psalm 91:14-16 (NIV):
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 20 (NKJV)
1 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

2 May He send you help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen you out of Zion;

3 May He remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah

4 May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.

5 We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

8 They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.

9 Save, Lord!
May the King answer us when we call.

I needed this! And maybe you need this too! After a long night of wondering what I am going to do and questioning the path I was on, followed by an amazing divine meeting where I was comforted, encouraged, understood and given insight, this double rainbow came into my life! It was right OVER MY HOUSE!
🏠🏠🏠🏠

Why the rainbow, Linda?
❓❓❓❓❓❓
The rainbow reminds me that God is with me. After the great flood, God put a rainbow in the sky and gave a promise to never destroy the earth or wipe out all living things with a flood. (Gen. 9:13). What this means to me is that

1️⃣ He is a God of promises (and He keeps those promises!) This means if he gave you a promise, He WILL KEEP IT!

Which leads me to my second point…

2️⃣ God is FAITHFUL! He is not a man that he should lie! When there seems to be NO WAY! When it feels like he has LEFT YOU, as hard as it may be, TRUST HIM and BELIEVE that HE IS WITH YOU!

Which leads me to my last point…

3️⃣ God is WITH YOU! Just like he was with Noah during the flood, he is with you! Even when darkness and nothing but rain surrounds you!!!

Which leads me to the non-rainbow picture and my last reflection for the day…

⛈🌫 ⛈🌫⛈🌫⛈🌫

My non-rainbow picture was taken AFTER THE STORM and AFTER THE STORM WAS NO LONGER VISIBILE! As I looked at the beautiful post-rain clouds and admired how they made the light of the sunset so much more beautiful I thought how even storms can make our lives more beautiful! We just have to wait for the storm to pass, wait for the light to shine again, and then we can stand back and see the beauty for the pain and suffering! If you look the wrong way, you will miss it though!

Look for the light! Follow the light! Hold tight in the storm, do not grow anxious but trust in the Lord and let him lead you.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. -John 14:6 (NIV)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -1 John 1:9 (KJV)
