When covid first started I did two videos. I made predictions and told everyone what to expect. I made them private soon after. I will be making them public again so you can see how accurate I was. To all the naysayers, I told you so. I was about 99% accurate. The vaccine I was accurate about as well, but I didn't do a video on it.
I will be posting a video of my new guitar after I heal from my surgery that is scheduled tomorrow. This time I am building it out of common firewood you can buy at the store.
Also, I have placed the guitar building course on the gelvin guitars website. Soon the site will have a bunch new content. I will have a new video up soon on my channel, and this one you should really like.

One of the finishes I used to do I called the pharaoh. two do not have clear on them, but when it has clear it really pops as you can se ein the other two. These are some early one-piece guitars I made out of korina. You will see the bottom horn was longer early on.
You will also see I used to do what I called zero tolerance cavities. everything was accessed from the front with limited routing. There was only enough room for the pots. It was a headache to pull this off. This was in the days when I believed in tone wood and it would increase the sustain and tone.

The slot in the neck pocket was my first experiment on a truss rod adjustment, unlike anything you have seen before. It was the only one I ever made like that.
