Just finished an epic mod for Joel from @LABMusic on his new amp a @VoxAmpsVideos AC30HW2X.
This was such a great mod, the amp arrived in the box brand new and we never even turned it on 🤣
The OT and Choke are @MercuryMagnetics along with upgraded filter cap + coupling capacitors and the all-important Carbon Comps on the V1 + PI Plates

Can you work out why this bridge broke?? I surprisingly see this sort of damage on the regular
Challenge: Can you work out from the 2 photos the issues
Clues: My customer has said, this guitar sounds bad, plays badly, the trem is working strangely, + the nut broke on the fat E string for some reason?
Answers:
- The guitar has been strung with acoustic strings which were the wrong gauge for the nut, and this broke the nut, also acoustic strings do not sound that great with electric guitar pickups
- 3 String are wound around the post the wrong way
- The high E string has been installed wrong on the Bigsby, making it raise pitch when depressed while the other strings go lower in pitch like normal.
All sorted and the customer has it back & jamm'n again :)
A pretty Intense Monday Morning so far, most of this has come in within the first 2 hours of opening!
I need a bigger Workshop!
@fender 1966 & 1967 Fender Coronado II were in the workshop for setups. These guitars are just great! My favourite is the Salmon Pink one (faded Candy Apple Red)

I had a few interesting guitars like this one come into the workshop last week (among the usual Fenders and Gibsons I see weekly). This one was really nice, I did not want to give it back😪
I do these 2 things on so many Taylor GS-Minis. They are so badly set up and hard to play out of the box.
1) Fret Levelling: The fretwork on GS-Mini's is always pretty rough.
2) Set Up: Lower the saddle, cut the nut properly and adjust the neck for minimum relief
I aim for an action of 1.75mm on the Bass side and 1.5mm Treble side
I just finished another one and the transformation is always AMAZING!!
