Without giving too much away, I'll say that in the next episode we'll be writing out a beautiful 16th-century motet from start to finish, note by note, tracing the [hypothetical] process of composition ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ

This, of course, requires a broad knowledge. I have made a little playlist of past episodes that might be important to watch beforehand ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค“ ENJOY ๐Ÿ’–

Recently I participated in the launch of Andrew Parrott's new and very special book "The Pursuit of Musick: Musical Life in Original Writings & Art". It includes a huge number of snippets of historical quotes that touch on different musical and historical subjects. The quotes are all translated into English, but the originals are all found on the book's website for free(!). Next to quotes there are also hundreds of artworks. It's like an amazing version of a coffee table book made for early music lovers. If you might be interested, check their website: www.taverner.org/

[disclosure: I'm not related to the project in any way, and bought my own copy.]
