As I mentioned in my previous post, I've been updating old videos and adding subtitles with commentary to them since the weather isn't really encouraging me to go out walking and recording new videos.

Here's another batch of updated videos:

Walking in Knalleland, the shopping area of Borås, Sweden
https://youtu.be/05ThcrqE00M

Walking in the coastal town Varberg in Sweden. Around the central area and then down to the harbor.
https://youtu.be/ysUe7mnDUWE

Walking tour of the nature trail and water mill at Brokvarn in Öxabäck, Sweden
https://youtu.be/2vGbVln4q5U

Walking through The ravines of Assberg (Assbergs Raviner) in Skene, Sweden
https://youtu.be/blfqWQzd5QQ

Though to be honest, the last one was mostly because it was the first video I posted on this channel, it's a walk through a nature reserve so there isn't really that much to say about the place and as such, there's not much subtitles added to it.

The second last video, that is also (mostly) a nature walk, at least has some historical parts to it that made me add a decent amount of text to it (mostly at the beginning and the end though).

If all goes to plan I'll visit a Christmas market tomorrow so hopefully I'll actually have a new video to post soon.

I don't really mind walking in the winter but when it's like this, and it's not actually frozen but a bit of a soggy mess, then it gets a bit difficult to motivate myself to go walking outside, especially when it's just cloudy and dark, rather than any sunshine.

So instead I've been adding subtitles with information and/or personal commentary to some of my old videos, first out are:

Taking a walk around Kinna, Sweden:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs0EK...

Sweden, Umeå, walking around the University, Ålidhem and the surrounding areas:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoVAM...

One of the most dangerous parts of Borås, Sweden? Walking in Hässleholmen:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kSSd...

The first two are videos that I have a personal connection to so there's plenty of anecdotes in the subtitles. The last one is a video that has had a steady (but slow, as most of my videos :) ) stream of viewers ever since I uploaded it, so I figured it was a decent option for some extra information in it.

I also added subtitles to this one, though it was a while back, not during this time of me avoiding the bad weather, but guess I'll mention it here since it's an older video that now has subtitles:

One of Sweden's largest shopping centers, walking tour of Nordstan in Gothenburg:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI_cd...

Obviously, this doesn't mean I'm just going to sit around writing subtitles, I do still hope to try and get at least a few visits to cities with Christmas-markets and/or Christmas lights before the year is over.

But since they pace will certainly slow down for a while, I figured I might work on some of my older stuff.

Leave a reply if you have any requests for videos I should add subtitles on!

In my recent video from Kinnarumma (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGVx4...) I start the walk at the ruins of the old church. Here is an old photo of how the church looked before turning into a ruin as well as a photo from the demolition of the church tower.

Sometimes you just have to stop reading and then re-read a text to make sure it actually say what you thought it did. The circled text literrally translates to "On the 11th september, the tower was blown up".

It's just this text isn't about what you might think it is, it's from an information display at a church ruin I visited today (for my next walk that'll be published either later today or tomorrow), it contains details about the church and how it was built in 1907 and then later demolished in 1942.

Every now and then (very rarely for now) I add subtitles to my videos, usually with a bit of history about the place I'm walking at. Did you notice in when watching any of my videos, and if so, what did you think about it?
