The first bigger road trip with project Frankfurt completed! French road trip on which we covered 2.058 km (1288 miles). Went from Frankfurt to Versailles, then Saint-Malo, Mont-Saint-Michel, Rouen, and back to Frankfurt.

This makes for just a shy under 6.000 km (3728 miles) since the new engine went it. The engine which I built, and touched every single nut and bolt, and has been nothing but flawless ever since it started for the first time. And has ~60hp more than a stock one to boot!

My dream car fulfilled all of my expectations and then went way over them. The S65 engine is pure magic. From the moment the big V8 lump fires up into life, the way it pulls through the rev range, the way it handles, and the biblical intake and exhaust note... It has it all, including the 3 pedals. As a car guy, it really is a dream come true to own one.

My dream E92 M3 color was and still is Monte Carlo blue, with Mineral white close second. Both beautiful colors. However, I ended up with Silverstone II, and it won me over. It looks absolutely stunning with this paint. All of the beautiful lines of the E92 M3 design stand out proudly. It's impossible not to look back when you park it.

Needless to say, Project Frankfurt is here to stay as a permanent member of the fleet! Thank you to all for being part of the journey and helping me restore this M3 to a better-than-new condition.

Robert from ‪@heelandtoe_‬ lived with project Raleigh, the E60 M5 6-speed for a while and made a video about it. Rob is an awesome driver – precise, smooth, fast, all while having mechanical sympathy. He drifted with me in the passenger seat (off camera) and it was amazing to see & hear what the M5 is capable of. Give it a watch. :)

Epic road trip and 3.367 km (2092 miles) with project Raleigh completed! Ever since I got the E60 M5, I wanted to do a long, memorable adventure with it. The S85 V10 took us from Frankfurt through Switzerland to Turin. Afterwards driving across the breathtaking Tuscany to the towns of Lucca and Siena, following chaotic, yet incredibly charming Naples, to the final destination — the beautiful Amalfi Coast.
Then straight shot to Lake Como for Concorso d'Eleganza with ‪@BMWGroupClassic‬ ‪@JasonCammisa‬ ‪@heelandtoe_‬, and then back home to Frankfurt.
Italy is probably the best country for traveling, with the best coffee, food, amazing people, and genuinely astonishing scenery and history.

The majestic 6-speed E60 M5 made the trip effortlessly, without even a tiny issue. Whether it is cruising down the Autostrada, crawling through small medieval towns, or navigating the insanely tight roads of Amalfi, down to high-speed Autobahn driving, project Raleigh does it all with poise and in comfort! It is unhealthy how much I love this car.
Might as well be the best car in the world as far as I'm concerned, alongside E39 M5, naturally. Every minute behind the wheel is special, and having crappy paint made the whole trip even more relaxing and stress-free.

As for the fuel consumption, the best was on the Autostrada; the 12.57 L/100km (18,7 mpg), if you were to really pamper it, you can do 10-11 L/100km. The worst were the hills of the Amalfi Coast, 21.04 L/100km (11.1 mpg) and cruising at 260 km/h (161 mph) on the empty Autobahn past midnight; 23.13 L/100km (10.1 mpg).
Flat out, the 5.0L V10 will drink its 70L (18.5 gallons) tank in around 250 km (155 miles), but will also get you home an hour and fifteen minutes earlier (including fuel stops)!

All in all, fantastic trip and looking forward to the next Italian adventure with project Frankfurt! Now back to work! 😎

The new merch shop is now live! - m539restorations.com/

This has been in the works for months and I'm so happy to finally be able to present it! All of the design was done by Radu from RT Design Studio and it's truly fantastic. He was instrumental here and I couldn't have done it without him. Thank you, Radu, for the millionth time!

I've been testing a lot of products and different brands to make sure they fit and feel right, but it's primarily the same stuff I've been wearing in the videos for years now which I love as it's super comfortable. For example the zip-hoodie, I practically live in that thing. I'm really satisfied with the quality and I hope you will be too.

To keep the shipping costs low and simpler with quicker delivery, the products are printed and shipped from two places: Europe and the United States. Therefore, the product and color may vary slightly for some stuff, but are all of the equal quality. This was rather tricky to set up, but had to be done otherwise shipping from the EU to the US, or vice-versa, would be way too high and complicated. That said, the merch ships worldwide!

All the earnings from the sales are poured directly back into the channel, helping me restore broken BMWs and create videos. Do let me know how you like the stuff. As always, thank you for your support and for following along!
P.S. a new episode is landing in a few days. :)

One doesn't simply go to the United States on vacation and gets a reliable rental car. Nein, nope! One needs oil leaks, knocks and check engine lights in form of a very neglected E46 M3 to feel totally at home. 2000 miles in this bucket! The first episode of the US Special lands tomorrow. ‪@JasonCammisa‬ and I, may or may not goof around in one episode while driving in a shoe-sized car!
