Before optimization and applying SEO to my Portfolio Website islemmaboud.com/ (which is built on Next.js), I had a terrible lighthouse score below 60.
Here's how I took it up to 100 scores with a few steps:
- Optimize Images - Use Next/Image
- Add alt to images and descriptive names to links
- use next-seo to define SEO attributes for pages
- Remove unused/unnecessary dependencies
- Disable Animations on mobile
- Use framer-motion lazy animation loading
