Your great grandchildren will appreciate it :)
It's officially been 55 years since man first set foot on the Moon. There's a full Moon tonight. If you get the chance take a moment and look down onto the surface of that beautiful world from our vantage point up here on Earth :)
Supercut is out and will have new content soon! The next series should be on rovers/excavators and lunar automation in general so stay tuned!
New video on Lunar Mass Drivers SOON. In the meantime here's a behind the scenes evolution of the lunar freighter design from first to final. I redesigned it 3 times and can't promise I won't do more. This is obviously still concept art but I tried to find the optimal design for ease of cargo transfer both in orbit and on the moon, and structural simplicity ie least complicated thing to build. As close to a steel skeleton as possible.
Put a ton of effort into these new animations. Honestly a bit too much as it took 2 months of work + render for only a 7 minute video... but I think they came out well.
So the good news is I have 20 minutes of content written and 10 minutes worth of awesome animations. The bad news is that those 20 minutes were originally just supposed to be a short introduction to the topic shown in the animations. So, because this video has already taken 10x longer than anticipated (why I haven't uploaded in over a month) and the intro part alone is long enough to be its own video, and because I don't want to bury these awesome new renders 20minutes into a video I'm gonna have to make this a two-parter... Which I'm not extremely happy about, but the advantages of being able to upload this week and give the renders and other aspects of this topic the attention they deserve is worth it. Thanks for being patient, here's a picture of my cat Murphy.
