This week I spent the best part of a day with the ‪@Technogym‬ RIDE #indoorcycling bike. I can't wait to upload the video, but for now a post will have to do.

When meeting the RIDE, I was most interested in working out how to mirror ‪@Zwift‬ onto the RIDE's impressive 22" screen. It took a little bit of time to work out as I am not a fan of instruction manuals 😁, but as you can see in the image below I worked it out. It requires a HDMI cable + a lightening to HDMI adapter + a iphone lightening power cord (plugged into the adapter and plugged into a power source) to get it going, but I felt good about my efforts once up and running.

One pleasant surprise was the nice integration between the RIDE's cycling metrics displayed at the bottom of the screen and Zwift. I liked that ZWIFT didn't dominate the screen and you still are able to see and adjust your RIDE metrics on the fly.

In person, the parallels between the SKILLBIKE and RIDE are obvious (see pic 5), where you will note the similarities between the two frame designs. The SKILLBIKE set a new benchmark when it was released, with controllable resistance and real gear shift levers, similar to an outdoor road bike. The RIDE has similar looking levers, however TechnoGym have taken them to the next level by making them push button, rather than shift. In the outdoor road cycling world, the SKILLBIKE, has the equivalent of 'mechanical' shifters , where as the RIDE has 'Electronic' shifters. VERY VERY VERY COOL!

Video will be out in the next week. Stay tuned!
